DPF CLEANING & DIESEL AFTERTREATMENT3520 S. State Street · Salt Lake City
For repair shops

A filter on your bench. A customer waiting on the repair.

Send the component with its story. We’ll help you establish the service scope and the return plan so your technician can finish the job.

Support for the work in your bay

Keep component service connected to the diagnosis.

DPF Utah provides removed-filter evaluation and cleaning, replacement assistance, and pickup and return arrangements through our Salt Lake City operation, powered by J-Mac Radiator.

Tell us why the part came off. A scheduled ash service has a different starting point from a filter removed after a turbo failure or repeated unsuccessful regeneration. Your findings help determine the appropriate component work and what the vehicle still needs when the part returns.

The repair-order handoff

Send a few useful details with every filter.

  • Your shop, repair-order number and technician contact
  • Vehicle year, make, model and engine identification
  • Filter part number, serial number and a readable tag photo
  • Complaint, relevant codes and completed diagnostic work
  • Known oil, coolant or fuel contamination
  • Previous cleaning, replacement or related engine repairs
  • Requested return date and who approves additional work

Agree on the decision points.

Identify the work being authorized: inspection, cleaning, related components or a replacement evaluation. Establish how you want to be contacted if the findings change the scope.

Ask for the service findings and available measurements to be tied to your repair order. A useful record identifies the part, work performed, test method and outcome. Numbers are easier to interpret when the units and test conditions come with them.

For several filters, use separate identifiers even when they arrive on one pallet. Keep return destinations and priority dates with each repair order.

What a useful filter report tells you
Three parts of the job

Know where each responsibility sits.

On the vehicle

Keep the original diagnosis and repair plan with the job. Sensors, pressure lines, wiring, dosing and engine condition need vehicle-level attention when the findings call for it.

At the filter

Confirm component identification, inspection and service suitability. A filter that is damaged or unsuitable for reuse needs a replacement decision, with an explanation your service writer can use.

Before delivery

Complete the application’s installation requirements and required checks. Returning a serviced component is one step in completing the customer’s vehicle repair.

Practical questions from the shop

Can you arrange pickup and return?

Yes. Provide both addresses, receiving hours, component count and the required return date. Confirm coverage, scheduling and transport charges for the job. Plan the filter handoff.

Can you help when cleaning is unsuitable?

Request a replacement evaluation alongside the inspection. Include the vehicle and part identifiers so fitment, availability, core terms and installation hardware can be considered before you quote the next step to your customer.

How do we arrange repeat shop work?

Start with your expected volume, purchasing contact and billing requirements. Discuss quote approvals, PO references, pickup arrangements and the records your shop needs returned with each job.

Does bench testing settle the original warning light?

A removed filter can be evaluated as a component. The vehicle’s remaining systems and the original complaint still need to be checked through the repair process. Share the diagnostic history at intake so that distinction stays clear.
